North Korea issues ‘crowded out’ during US-Japan summit, experts say


U.S. President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida condemned North Korea’s continued weapons development during their first in-person summit in Tokyo on Monday, while endorsing trilateral security cooperation with South Korea.

Yet despite the possibility of an imminent nuclear or missile test, DPRK threats received relatively little attention during the two leaders’ meeting, experts told NK News, as other issues “crowded out” North Korea.
