Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has criticised his bosses over their upcoming fixture list as three players from Everton could be targeted in the summer
Antonio Conte has slammed his Tottenham Hotspur bosses over the club’s fixture pile-up this week.
Spurs go head to head with north London rivals Arsenal on Thursday with a place in the Premier League’s top four, and qualification for next season’s Champions League, at stake. But with so much to play for, Spurs have a quick turnaround following Thursday’s derby as they face Burnley at 12pm on Sunday.
And the Tottenham manager has said the club’s hierarchy should “pay more attention” to their fixture schedule and that a “top club” would not have accepted a lunchtime kick-off. It comes as the Spurs boss has admitted he’s moved on from the “unfair” decision to postpone the fixture with Arsenal in January.
And Conte is set to target three Everton players in the summer transfer window.

Antonio Conte believes the decision to postpone the north London derby in January was “unfair”.
The two teams were initially scheduled to face each other on January 16 but the match was postponed at the request of Mikel Arteta’s side after his squad was hit by Covid, injuries and players participating at the Africa Cup of Nations. It later emerged that the Gunners had just one squad member with Covid, leading to a Premier League rule change on postponements due to the virus.
And speaking ahead of Thursday night’s game, the Spurs boss said the decision was “very strange”, but insists he’s moved on from the incident.
Spurs hierarchy slammed
Antonio Conte wants his Spurs bosses to “pay more attention” after they accepted a 12pm kick-off against Burnley on Sunday.
The match comes hot on the heels of Tottenham’s north London derby on Thursday night with Conte saying the decision to schedule them so closely together is “difficult to accept”. And he has called upon his bosses to “to take care about all the details because the details move the final result”.
And he’s also aimed a little dig at the Spurs hierarchy by suggesting a “top club” wouldn’t have accepted the timing of the game.
Everton trio targeted
Tottenham could move to try and sign Everton trio Richarlison, Anthony Gordon and Ben Godfrey this summer, according to reports.
The Toffees are at risk of relegation from the Premier League and currently sit in 16th place, just two points off of Leeds United in 18th. After being impressed following Everton’s mini-revival in recent weeks, Antonio Conte’s side could target the three players – even if they stave off relegation this season.
