North Korea reports no COVID cases amid signs of trade restart with Russia

North Korea maintains that it is COVID-free after testing more than 2,700 people in recent weeks, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), amid signs of activity at an apparent import disinfection station near its border with Russia.

DPRK health authorities screened an additional 1,332 people for COVID-19 from March 17-24 and 1,405 people from March 25-31 using polymerase chain reaction tests, the WHO states in its latest weekly situation report. The country said it collected 7,755 samples during that time.
