Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been told to join Liverpool by Ian Wright as Roy Keane has given Spurs the perfect plan to landtheir summer transfer targets
Kane came close to leaving the north London club last year as a move to Manchester City fell through due to Daniel Levy refusing to lower his demands for the forward, who has recently been linked with a move to Manchester United should Mauricio Pochettino take the manager’s job at Old Trafford. But Wright thinks the Spurs hitman would be the perfect addition to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
It comes as Roy Keane has given Spurs the perfect plan to seal all of their top summer transfer targets. And Eric Dier has revealed the impact Antonio Conte has had on Tottenham Hotspur as the club push for Champions League qualification.
Here are Mirror Football’s latest Tottenham Hotspur headlines.
Dier reveals Conte impact
Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Eric Dier has revealed the impact Antonio Conte has had on the club as Spurs aim to finish in the Premier League’s top four.
In an interview with Sky Sports [via football.london], the Spurs ace spoke about Conte’s appointment as Tottenham manager in November. Dier described Conte as “what the club needed” as he explained “comfort is the enemy”.
He also detailed the “uncomfortable environment” Conte has created since his arrival at Spurs.
Spurs given transfer plan
Roy Keane has provided Tottenham Hotspur with the perfect transfer plan ahead of the summer window.
The former Manchester United midfielder has highlighted the success of Tottenham’s January business as Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur have both hit the ground running. The club is expected to be busy in the transfer market once again this summer as they bid to assemble a squad capable of providing Antonio Conte with the tools he needs to bring silverware to the club.
And according to football.london, Keane thinks that in order to have a successful transfer window, Spurs must first secure Champions League qualification.
Kane sent Liverpool message
Ian Wright has told Harry Kane he should seek a move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
The England captain could be on the move this summer having been linked with the likes of Manchester City and Man United, with Kane himself said to be keen to battle for major trophies before his career comes to an end. And Wright has admitted he wouldn’t be surprised if the best clubs in Europe were considering making an offer for the Spurs striker this summer – and named the side he would sign for if he were Kane.
The Arsenal icon got rather excited at the prospect of seeing Kane play in Jurgen Klopp’s team, and Wright seems to think Kane would fit perfectly into the current Reds line-up.
