A Russian aircraft crossed North Korean airspace on Tuesday morning, a rare and potentially dangerous overflight that occurred around the same time Pyongyang tested two new cruise missiles.
According to multiple flight tracking platforms, an Ilyushin 76 (IL-76) heavy airlift craft flew over North Korea while en route from Shanghai to Vladivostok in the Russian Far East.
The flight does not appear in Vladivostok International Airport’s official schedule, but flight data shows the plane touched down around 10:30 a.m. local time.
