Jake Paul reveals he would fight Tyson Fury – on one condition

Jake Paul would be willing to fight Tyson Fury – but only if the world heavyweight champion drops his weight by a huge 35kg to cruiserweight.

The maximum weight limit for a cruiserweight is 200Ibs – Fury last weighted in at 277.5Ibs for his victory against Deontay Wilder back in October.

Having fought as a heavyweight for his professional career, it would take some convincing for the 6’9 Fury to drop to cruiserweight.

Paul told talkSPORT : I would fight the whole family. If Tyson moved down to cruiserweight I would fight Tyson no problem.”

The American internet star turned boxer also had a dig at Fury’s father, John, after the pair exchanged words during a press conference last month.

“I would say, start looking for a new job,” Paul told talkSPORT. “You are a cringe old man, he’s an old, miserable man who never accomplished anything in his life.”

“He has a mediocre boxing record and the best thing he ever did was have sex with Tyson’s mum to spawn Tyson. That’s his only accomplishment – having a giant kid who became heavyweight champion of the world.”

It comes after the much anticipated fight between Paul and Fury’s younger brother Tommy was cancelled after a broken rib and a bacterial infection caused the former Love Island contestant to pull out.

Footage emerged of Tyson using a medicine ball on Tommy’s abdominals during the latter’s preparation for the fight and Paul believes it may have contributed to his former opponent’s injury.

He told MMA Hour : “I have seen the footage and who knows it is very possible”

“It is very possible that could break a rib for sure, when I do that drill we take precautions and are careful because you hear stories of fighters getting injured while trying to work on their abs.”

“Who knows what happened but all of it seems very shady.”
